Hello My Name Is...
Teresa Cooper
I am married to Charlie Cooper; we have been married for 34 years. My husband and I have been blessed to have six wonderful children and 5 grandchildren. I began teaching children in Sunday School where I served as a Sunday School teacher for 17 years. I began working in the Scott County School systemin 2013 as a volunteer and a substitute teacher. In 2017, I was hired as a full-time employee at Burchfield as an interventionist. Now I work in the special education department. Since beginning my career in the school system, I have furthered my education by earning an associate degree from Roane State in contemporary management focusing in business. I also earned a bachelor’s degree from TTU in interdisciplinary studies majoring in criminal justice with focus areas in criminal justice, workplace leadership, and human behavior. I hope to become a teacher in the school system soon. Working with children has been a rewarding experience. I love to help children and watch them grow in knowledge and understanding. While I am not at work with amazing co-workers, I am spending as much time as I can with family making memories.
