My name is Dr. Dale Davis. I began teaching in the Scott County School System in January 2001. I am a special education teacher who teaches mostly math classes. I have had the good fortune to teach at two schools in our county. I taught for 12 and a half years at Fairview Elementary School and am currently teaching at Burchfield Elementary School. I have had the unique privilege to be around many of our fine students for over 20 years.

I received my undergraduate degree in education from the University of the Cumberlands, my master’s degree in education from Tennessee Technological University, my education specialist’s degree from Lincoln Memorial University, and my doctorate degree in education from the University of the Cumberlands where I also serve as an adjunct professor.

I have been blessed with three children: Beth Smith, Orrin Davis, and Caitlin Davis – all of Oneida, a son-in-law, Morgan Smith, and a daughter-in-law, Ashley Davis. I have five grandchildren: Sawyer Smith, Sheridan Smith, Mason Davis, Emma Davis, and Jake Davis.

My hobbies include hiking, reading, watching television shows and movies, and working with tools. I love watching home improvement shows, westerns, action movies, and science fiction. My reading topics include history, theology, science, and philosophy.
